Job Summary

Houston Skilled Consultancy is hiring reliable and motivated Warehouse Picker / Packers to join our logistics team. This role is ideal for individuals who are detail-oriented, efficient, and thrive in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The position offers weekend and night shifts, with weekly pay and an immediate start. You will play a crucial part in our supply chain by ensuring orders are accurately picked, securely packed, and dispatched on time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately pick items from shelves based on order sheets or handheld scanner instructions.

  • Pack products securely using appropriate packaging materials to ensure safe transit.

  • Label packages correctly and prepare them for shipment.

  • Maintain clean and organized workstations and adhere to all health and safety regulations.

  • Meet or exceed daily targets for picking and packing.

  • Perform basic quality checks to ensure products meet standards before packaging.

  • Report inventory discrepancies and damaged goods to the supervisor.

  • Work collaboratively with team members to maintain a smooth warehouse operation.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Basic literacy and numeracy skills.

  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.

  • Physically fit and capable of lifting and moving packages (up to 20 kg/44 lbs).

  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work quickly without sacrificing accuracy.

  • Ability to use handheld scanners or pick lists.

  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Experience

  • No prior warehouse experience required – full training will be provided.

  • Previous experience in a similar warehouse, logistics, or distribution role is an advantage but not mandatory.

Working Hours

  • Weekend Shifts: Saturday and Sunday

  • Night Shifts: Typically between 6:00 PM – 4:00 AM or 8:00 PM – 6:00 AM (subject to site location)

  • Flexibility to work overtime or additional shifts is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Understanding of basic warehouse operations and safety procedures.

  • Good communication and teamwork skills.

  • Time management and the ability to meet deadlines.

  • Familiarity with barcodes, scanners, or warehouse management systems is a plus.
