Job Summary

Houston Skilled Consultancy is seeking a highly skilled and self-motivated Remote Robotics Process Automation (RPA) Developer to join our dynamic technology team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing RPA solutions using tools like UiPath, Automation Anywhere, or Blue Prism to automate manual and repetitive tasks across business functions. You will work closely with process owners, analysts, and other developers to optimize workflows and improve operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy RPA solutions to automate business processes.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify automation opportunities and assess their feasibility.

  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications for automation solutions.

  • Build reusable components and libraries to accelerate development across projects.

  • Perform root cause analysis and resolve issues related to RPA bots.

  • Maintain proper documentation of the automation architecture, code, and processes.

  • Ensure bots operate reliably in production and continuously monitor for performance optimization.

  • Participate in process reengineering efforts to simplify and improve efficiency before automation.

  • Stay up-to-date with emerging RPA tools and trends to propose modern, scalable solutions.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Hands-on experience with one or more RPA tools (UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism).

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, .NET, or JavaScript.

  • Understanding of APIs, database systems (SQL/NoSQL), and system integration.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced remote environment.

Experience

  • Minimum of 2–5 years of experience as an RPA Developer or in a similar role in automation or process engineering.

  • Proven experience in end-to-end RPA lifecycle implementations (design, development, deployment, support).

  • Experience in working on Agile/Scrum teams is a plus.

Working Hours

  • Flexible remote working hours.

  • Core hours: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM IST (Monday to Friday)

  • Occasional meetings with international teams may require availability in alternate time zones.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong knowledge of process mapping and reengineering.

  • Ability to understand and analyze complex business processes.

  • Capacity to deliver quality solutions under tight deadlines.

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) is an advantage.

  • Understanding of security protocols in automation development.

  • Good time management and organizational skills to manage multiple projects.
