Overview: Cyber Defense Technologies (CDT) is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented HR Consultant/ HR Generalist (Independent Contractor- 1099, As Needed) to provide human resources support. This independent contractor role will oversees HR operations with a strong emphasis on federal compliance, documentation and audit readiness. This position is remote, local to the Northern Virginia is preferred.

Clearance: Prefer candidates with a clearance. Candidates are required to be U.S. Citizens and be able to pass a 5-year background investigation.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide consultative HR guidance and support.
  • Prepare and update HR policies, procedures, and compliance documentation to ensure it meets federal, state, and local requirements.
  • Support performance management and annual review processes.
  • Provide benefits administration.
  • Assist with audits investigation or special HR projects.
  • Coordinate with Payroll regarding compensation updates and employment changes.
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of human resources experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of HR practices, employment laws, and government contracting regulations.
  • HR certifications recommended (SHRM).
  • Proficiency in HR systems, payroll software, and financial analysis tools.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of human resource management.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and Team building skills.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Decision making skills, strong follow up ability.
  • Excellent verbal, listening and communication skills.
